Wynfall Desktop

The Windows app. It updates itself, so these arrive without a reinstall.

  1. 0.89.0

    • Every model now shows its real context window, so the usage meter and auto-compact match the model you picked. The Context window popover tells you whether the size was reported, known, estimated or set by you.
    • An experimental connection to a coding plan you already pay for elsewhere. It is off by default, and Wynfall never sees your sign-in.

  2. 0.88.0

    • When Ken says it will do something but does not, it now gets one nudge to go and do it.
    • A file write is only refused when the path and the content are exactly the same as the last attempt, so a real second try is no longer blocked.

  3. 0.87.0

    • Web search no longer loops on the same question, and a source that comes up twice shows once.
    • Longer replies and whole files in one go. A reply that gets cut off now says to write it in parts, and a file can be added to at the end.

  4. 0.86.0

    • Scrolling is fixed in chat and the other panes. They follow new output only when you are at the bottom, so the view stops jumping.
    • Sub-agents can use any model, including ones that run on your own computer, and handle tools more safely. They are on by default for new installs in chats that have a folder. If you installed earlier, turn them on in Settings, Agents.
    • A new API keys page in Settings: make a key, copy it once, see your keys and revoke any of them.
    • Wynfall starts faster.

  5. 0.85.0

    • One Mode picker in the composer (Auto, Manual, Accept edits, Plan, Bypass) replaces the separate permission and plan switches.
    • Models show their rank as feathers, ending in the wing.
    • Settings is regrouped into pages with a search box, plus a Plan & billing page with an Upgrade entry. Billing stays off until plans open.

Chat in your browser

chat.wynfall.dev. The web app is updated continuously, so entries are dated rather than numbered.

    • Links to the chat app, and invite links, now show a proper preview card when you share them.

  2. October 11

    • The model picker follows the live model list, so what you can choose is always what is actually available.
    • An API keys page in Settings: make a key, copy it once, list and revoke. Plans without keys see what unlocks them.
    • Models carry the same feather ranks as Desktop, ending in the wing.
